grammy’s recap

Award show junkies and fashionistas alike rejoiced last night as the 50th Anniversary Grammy Award Show aired live. As usual, the show featured some amazing performances – from Rihanna’s “Umbrella” to Alicia Keys’ duet with John Mayer to, our personal fav of the night, Amy Winehouse who performed via satelite from London (personal issues prevented her from getting her Visa). Check out the performance here:

And, as usual, there was the fabulous fashion of the night. Here is just a sample of our “hits and misses” of the red carpet. Thoughts?

HITS: Carrie Underwood always wins in our book, so we’ll excuse the bad hair because the dress is fierce! And Beyonce wins for just the opposite: we’ve hated her hair recently but LOVED the new relaxed ‘do which makes up for the borderline tacky mermaid dress.

MISSES: I’d love the number to Miley Cyrus’ stylists so I could ask her what the hell he/she was thinking! This girl is 15 years old and, while the dress might look cute on someone like Rihanna or Carrie, it’s totally inappropriate for Miley. Not to mention that bad extensions and horrible teeth whitening. Speaking of Rihanna, normally we love her edgy style and the risks she takes with her hair but I have to say this blue dress is not great – it’s just kind of OK. Maybe Miley’s stylist has some tips for her 🙂 We kid…
